Hello! From Lewes, Delaware, USA to Lewes, England! It was our pleasure to host a wonderful group of students and adults from Ringmer Community College last spring. My wife and I are looking forward to visiting your community this coming summer!

Attention Hilton Beach in regards to Edwin Beach and Mary Ann Leppard who were married in Lewes in 1856. There son (Richard Beach) who immigrated to U.S.A. about 1885 then immigrated to Canada in 1909. Richard was my great grandfather.

His son was Arthur L Beach who married Elma Beach.

My father Arthur Ricahrd Beach is their son.

Hi Chris,

Since having the website up and running (on lewesonline) I have received over 50% of my business either through Lewesonline or by customers finding my site using a search engine.

If it wasn't for lewesonline, I would not have achieved the success in my first year that I have.

So thanks Chris not only for designing and creating lewesbabymassage.co.uk, but for all the help and advice you gave me.

I have lived in Lewes for a number of years in Castle Banks No. 9. I have moved to France by myself now but return during the year. Unfortunately all the pubs have had their interiors torn out and replaced with modern interiors which I absolutely hate. The Lewes Arms is the only pub which comes near to my favourite pub. I left because Lewes was becoming spoilt, it is fast becoming a town where there will be no longer be even a corner where you can get lost in time. I think your booklet is excellent. Kind regards, Hazel

Have just found your website and think it is great. My great-grandparents (Edwin Beach and Mary Ann Leppard) were married in Lewes in 1856. They had a son (Richard  Beach) that immigrated to U.S.A. about 1885 then immigrated to Canada in 1909. Richard was my grandfather and I am inquiring if any of the families are still there.

Here is a 'Thumbs Up' for your website.  Entered a post earlier tonight (Downunder time), before I went browsing through the photographs of Lewes.  The one that caught my eye was the one advertising the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust Fund.  Anthony was a South Australian boy & coincidentally, Anthony's family lived next door to my daughter-in-law's family when Anthony was a baby.  A very brave Mother who fought so hard for her son and then for all the other son's & daughter's who needed Bone Marrow transplants.  Have loved browsing your site, have bookmarked it so I can return to get my fill of a town that I feel attached to through my Gaston family.  Thanks,  Maureen Campain

Hi Maureen. I work opposite a pub called the Lewes Arms (which just happens to be one of the best pubs in Lewes!) and Claire, the previous landlady, hiked up Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of the Anthony Nolan Trust. I did a free website for her at the time to support the hike which I believe raised several thousand pounds - the hike that is, not my website! A very worthwile cause.

Hi, I've just found your site & am quite excited at being able to view the town in which my Great-Great-Grandfather, Charles Gaston, was born in 1814.  Charles, with his wife Mary and daughter Anne, left England in 1839 arriving in Port Adelaide, South Australia on 24 August 1839 on the ship Somersetshire.  I am currently trying to research my family history & this is wonderful being able to view this town.......am now going to wander through your site.  Should there still be connections to the Gaston family in Lewes, I would love to hear from them.  Many Thanks for a beautiful website. Regards,
Maureen Campain
